Labour, provider travel, scheduling, administration, technology and compliance included.
Agreed before we start

What you may need to pay
Services Australia determines your contribution percentage. The government pays the balance from your available funding.
| Your status | Clinical | Independence | Everyday living |
|---|---|---|---|
| Full pensioner | 0% | 5% | 17.5% |
| Part pensioner or Commonwealth Seniors Health Card holder | 0% | 5% to 50% | 17.5% to 80% |
| Self funded, no CSHC, or means not disclosed | 0% | 50% | 80% |
Personal care from 1 October 2026
Approved personal care is treated as a clinical support for contribution purposes, meaning no participant contribution where funding is available. Services Australia confirms your actual rate.
Work out what you are funded for
Pick your classification to see what the government contributes each quarter.
Step 1
How much help do you need?
Your aged care assessment gives you a classification from 1 to 8. If you have not been assessed yet, choose whichever description sounds closest to your situation.
Step 2
What is your pension situation?
This determines how much of the cost you contribute. Services Australia works out your actual rate — this is just to give you a realistic idea.
Choose a classification above first.
Not sure about any of this? That is completely normal — give us a call and we will work it out with you.
